You (for values meaning US Expats) could vote at the US Embassy at the last presidential election.

You can't do so this time.

They only posted this information (in a suitably well-hidden fashion) on the day that mail-in ballots had to be sent by.

Clever.

Thankfully, lots and lots of us ex-pats knew that already and at a stretch could use a FWAB (Federal Write-in Absentee Ballot) online. There are numerous websites which facilitate voting from overseas, and many ways to avoid being disenfranchised as an overseas voter. The key thing is to be *registered* in time. If you're registered you really have no problem.
