Today was bloody hard work. After that little gem this morning where I discovered the DB access system we used was fucked, the next bit of code I ported apparently managed to smash PHP's stack, such that the script restarts partway through with a bunch of invalid input data, and then kinda fucks itself over.

Of course because the debugger in the dev environment doesn't support the DB access, the die() function randomly loses its messages, and anything print()ed before that gets used as kitty litter for Schroedinger's Bug, this took about 3 hours to figure out.

Oh and in other news I apparently have a longstanding vitamin B2 deficiency, which will have been impacting my mental function.

How did you find out about the B2 deficiency, out of interest?

One of our coaches, who's working in the office for a while as a co-ordinator, is also a nutritionist. She identified my strangely corrugated fingernails as being a symptom of this.

Ah! I think I'd heard that piece of information before, but I'd forgotten it. Thanks!

Funny, I read this post and that's exactly what I was wondering.

I'm a bit scared of what he'll be doing once he gets that fixed, though ...
