Anyone know if it's safe to pop the key caps off on a powerbook? I seem to have something stuck under my 'M'

ETA: appears fixed now, through cautious prodding as compressed air

Can't you carefully mash it with the M and then hoover it out?

I think you can, but dont' try it on my advice....

I once removed all the keys on a sony vaio (dumped a glass of water in) and the key caps were all very specifically made to come and go easily, but if you pulled too hard, they broke. There's a little clasp kind of thingie just underneath that grips the mount underneath, but they're weak, and tiny, and will break easy.

Try a toothpick first. :)
