Can anyone tell me of a way to find the physical memory layout (ie, number of occupied / unoccupied slots) from the command line on a linux server?

TIA

I did a quick google for 'ubuntu memory slots' and found:

# sudo dmidecode -t 6

Which also has me wondering where 569MB of my 2GB memory went.

[grin] Don't ask the questions if you don't want to know the answers.

That came up blank, but the other call suggested on that page (lshw) did the trick - thanks.
