My alarm clocks are, usefully, aware of difference between weekdays and weekends.

Of course, no-one's explained Bank Holidays to them :/

I experience exactly the same problem.

I have found that an open window and the ability to have a fairly accurate aim with your right arm while lying down usually fixes that little problem! :)

I usually remember to switch mine off the night before, (I get the same thing with school holidays). However, today, I decided that I would leave the alarm on, so I'd have the pleasure of not having to get up.

Thankfully mine is my mobile, and I set it every night. What with Tex being on shift work, it changes enough to warrant it not being set as an ongoing thing.

I did remember to turn off the crowing phone alarm before going to bed last night...a remarkable moment of foresight given that it was 3:30am. Now the next trick is to remember to turn it back on again for tomorrow.

Same here. I wonder how you would make that work. I suppose for digital radio alarms it could be something in the signal, the same way they update automatically to BST.

Oh yes, I got knobbled by that one too - a slight case of technology being too clever and me not being clever enough... ahem.
