No, I wasn't there; needed a day to relax.|
However, the BBC are reaching their usual levels of journalism and are referring to it as a "Gay and Lesbian" event.
I have sent them a short nastygram:
You refer in this story to Pride as a "Gay and Lesbian" event. It is in fact, as per the Pride London site, an 'LGBT event'. That includes Bisexuals and Transpersons.
Please try and be accurate and inclusive. It's bad enough Stonewall spending half their time pretending Bisexuals don't exist without being dropped for brevity's sake from reports on major public events.
I'm amused at the slightly uncomfortable-looking Boris shot... I didn't hear his speech but apparently the one he gave at the QueerVIPs pre-event was a bit cackhanded and got a lot of people's backs up.
I was too busy flyering and chatting to people on the BHA stand to be playing 'Count the B-word' in the speeches from the stage, but I didn't hear very many. I have a nasty feeling even Sir Ian McKellan missed us out. Though apparently he did come over to the BHA stall and have a chat, before I got there.
