A bit oddly for me, but I've just downloaded the Eve demo the other day and I'm running through my 14 day trial...

I know its a bit wooly a question, but how many hours per day / week do you give your Eve account?

I know that any MMO is not going to take being ignored for any period of time, but I like the game, just unsure of the time commitments, wondering whether its just a case of "well, thats cool, but I just havent got the time", or " thats cool, here are my credit card details"...

It varies wildly - sometimes I'll spend less than an hour a week, others I'll pay for several hours in a day.

The fact that you don't need to be in-game to train skills helps if you're not a heavy player.

Cool - Well - I've managed to play a few hours and am rather enjoying the game (harking back to the Elite roots) - but its certainly like you describe, an incredible tech tree!!

(let alone a bewildering combination of turrets and ammunition combos plus missiles etc etc).

I must confess I've already done a far too manual thing when trying to get the best range / rate of fire / damage combo with a hybrid turret on my Condor...

Let alone trying trade routes, or mining or or or ...

Calidari myself, hows about you?

Oh, and just downloading the Eve client through my 3G card to see how well it runs on my laptop to do things like dive in and out for training :-D

Take a look at http://www.battleclinic.com/eve_online/item_database.php?id=i583&tab=loadouts and http://www.eve-wiki.net/index.php?title=Caldari_ships for background on the Condor. If you've not got EveMon and Eve Fitting Tool yet, they're well worth it.

My primary character's Minmatar.
