A battery-powered potato peeler. (TV ad)

A manual pencil sharpener with an indicator that pops up when the pencil's sharp. (Rymans)

Also bemused by the Asda adverts to the Dad's Army theme tune, with Asda Arrows chasing Tesco and prices off the screen. Wonderful subconscious links there...

What the fudge!!! You can tell I'm bad at technology, because I can't even imagine how this would work.

Now IMO this is genius. How much was it?

I can see the potato peeler possibly being useful for people with RSI/arthritis-type problems, in the same sort of way that my grandmother had an electric tin-opener and a whisk that worked with an up-down action rather than a twist/bend.
