For some reason it's neccessary that the label on my edam states "CONTAINS MILK".
Well, yes... did I need to be told that?
I think I'd better go check the yoghurts...

I first noticed that when I looked at a 'wheel of cheese' last christmas...
Next to the standard 'Contains traces of nut' warnings was 'Contains milk'.
Due to alcohol consumption i found this insanely amusing...

Hopefully it's something that comes as standard on packaging so that silly allergicy folks like me know when we wander into the cheese section that it's definitely inedible on our teflon-brain days.

The chocolate covered brazil nuts in my local supermarket have the warning
"This product may contain nuts "
Odd I thought, till I reasoned they may not.
