Ok, *HOW* do you stop the terminal (in OSX 10.2.1) from intercepting all your PGUP/PGDN/HOME/END keystrokes?

That sounds like an X defaults thing. You'll have a file somewhere, on my redhat box its /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/app-defaults/XTerm, and in this it'll have the defaults for that application. You can override these yourself though using xrdb where is a file with your own preferences in it.

Having never used, or actually seens MacOS X, that was pure speculation.
