A uniquely shallow goth dilemna...

Just found some nice boots to buy online, so I thought I'd check my shoes to see what size I need - sadly for a goth I only have 2 pairs of boots, but when you throw in shoes and trainers I start looking like Imelda Marcos. And I find that I have the following sizes (Men's Euro):

42,43,43,44,44,44.5,45,45.5,46

Now, faced with that data, how the hell am I supposed to order online?

If I understand men's fashion correctly (let's not even get into women's sizes, it's all b.s. anyway), you look at similar styles to determine similar size. so boot sizes are probably going to be closer to each other, sneakers will be similar, etc. Also, within a manufacturer, sizing will be closer than between manufacturers. So if you either have another pair of shoes/boots by the company you want to order from, or you have other pairs of boots, pick in that range (shoot for the middle). if all else fails, shoot for the overall average.

if all else fails, find the same boots at a store locally, try them on, then order them online (if they're cheaper that way). that's what I do, sneaky chick that I am.

ooh ooh I wanna see!!!!! I love shoes. I found an awesome pair of spikey-heeled black patent leather boots that looked really cool on me but I didn't get them because shoe manufacturers have not realized that not all women have twiggy calves. I want thigh-high f***-me boots darnit!

btw...

Character from a french film, discredited as an impostor when the village cobbler realises his feet are significantly smaller than the last time he had shoes made (and so it can't be the same man).

Well, the median is 44, and the mean is 44.1. I'd guess 44 was closest...

Spoken like a true geek... I'll probably go for 44's (although I suspect that's a half-size so I'll have to round up)
