Foolish assumption du jour...

That a graph showing hourly server load over one day will only need to be 24 hours wide.

For my next trick, I shall try and work out why Cron tells me:
/bin/sh: /root/mvuplog.pl: /usr/bin/perl: bad interpreter: Permission denied

and then gleefully excutes the script anyway.

Dark out...

... very dark. My bike lives 2 foot from the back door of the office, and I swear I couldn't see it in front of me. Cue the catbelt, which has recently spouted a 1-AA maglite.

Even in this pitch-black, two 10-watt halogen bulbs can do wonders for this. No tunnel vision, as the broad beam really lives up to the name. Cruising into the night (once I'd adjusted the spot to hit the road a bit further ahead) was actually really pleasant.

And today wasn't as bad as I'd feared. Managed to work out the SSL cert ok and will send it to BT Trust tomorrow.

And 2xWhitby car seats are still up for grabs! (Up Thurs AM, back Mon AM).

Now what?

Two more days of work, which are likely to be fairly heavy. Then a long drive up to Whitby. Somewhere in the middle I need to clean myself up and pack my clothes, plus the tickets (as far as I can figure that's all I need to take).

Of course there's still a Calling in the middle, one I'd planned to go to. But I still don't know if I'm fully recovered yet, and wearing myself out this week isn't a good plan. A relaxed week, on the other hand, would give me a good run-up to Whitby.

Right now, however, I'm feeling somewhat tired and at a loose end. I suspect the best plan right now might be to start making a list of clothes etc. But I'm more inclined to go curl up in bed.

This job is just too mentally tiring.

Update:
I can't even remember what I own.... when the hell did I last even get gothed up?

Updated update:
Quite a lot apparently... I'm gonna have to decide what to leave behind, I think.
I feel like a real goth now ;)
