One look at http://www.livejournal.com/users/wechsler/calendar/ says it all... I'm not updating much right now!

Obviously, not because I've nothing to talk about, but because I've no time / network access to say it from! (Well, ok, I can now post from absolutely *anywhere* via my phone, but T9 input isn't exactly fast & easy!).

Summary: Moved May 28th. 2 days work and a weekend of unpacking. Week of work, which got Sky Digital installed and featured a frustrating game of ADSL-modem tennis with Simply; the new device is now under my desk and better bloody well work as the ADSL service goes live today.
Which means I need to set up a network topography - and possibly build a couple more cables, on which note I have cat5 crimpers &c if anyone needs them.

*stops, thinks, gets back on track*

Briefly made it to the Pub on Friday, but the pub had moved, the one we started off in was crap & loud, and feanelwa wasn't inclined to stick around. So we went back to my house and got inclined there instead ;)

Last Saturday I went back to the flat to try and repaint - this failed dismally as the magnolia paint I had wasn't the same colour as the magnolia paint on the walls. My dad, rather more competent at DIY than I, has offered to go sort this out. However this, coupled with the sheer exhaustion of the last couple of weeks, nearly drove me to collapse.
At some point I made it out briefly to Strawberry Fair, there to see a very giggly nisaba. In her own words, "Beer" (nope, that's *cider*) ;)

As you may have observed from everyone else's journals who was there, asrana and aegidian came over last night to play Settlers. 'Twas great fun, and has put me in the mood for playing again - settlers + variants, chrononauts etc - who's up for it?

I also need to go and see the new Matrix movie ASAP (no spoilers please). Anyone (who's not going to heckle/commentate the film) care to join me at some point?

Oh, and our house (which is now pretty much open for People, although we need a few more odd items of furniture before it can get truly tidy) needs a (meatspace and/or domain) name.

More later, no doubt.

U "More" including, for example, the fact that I'm not going to the Boat Race gig on Saturday as I want a weekend *here* for once. But I *will* be pubbing on Friday.

I've just looked at the track listing. You're right. it *so* isn't.

Shall we ask the audience, then?

The best prog rock album in the world ever. No it isn't.

You bought it, then? Is it really that bad?

1) Sounds dangerous, but we may as well - although I don't promise to accept any suggestion.

2) Yes. It's not what I'd consider Prog Rock at all, more like psychedelica.

settlers etc

I blame all those bloody hippies who were about, myself... :)

Could you email or otherwise make available the photos and, erm, other wicked things you did with that digital camera to me please?

Of course - just been waiting for a decent network connection to upload them (files are a bit large for email). I'll send you a HTTP-AUTH password once I've done so.

Files can then be saved by yourself, giggled at, or wiped, by request. I'm not likely to make them generally available.

Gaming hmmmm

but not sure if I'm going to be better in time, as I have an evil head cold at the moment. Will mail you or something when I know for sure.
