... so does wireless.

Hurrah.

Will now try and do all those things I said I'd do when I got a decent net connection.

Yup - got the replacement delivered last night, plugged it in and all worked, although I need to do some investigation to ensure my WEP settings are right.

Cool -

Further question if I may -

Whats the connection to the "phone line" - Is it an RJ-11 style connector? Or do you get a different set of filters?

I am exploring the wireless option at home - but some just say "broadband" meaning cat5 / rj 45 connectors - and my ADSL comes in through an RJ-11.

Cheers

Jules

The DG824M comes with a standard microfilter that plugs into a BT/431A socket and splits to phone:BT/431A, ADSL:RJ11; the DG824M (or 'Suzuka', to give it its correct hostname on my network ;) has an RJ11 input for the ADSL and 4xRJ45 outputs to ethernet.

Heh - Cool - Cheers. Just the info I needed...

Other than - I presume it runs NAT ?

Does said NAT have a DMZ so you can run a machine outside / on top of the NAT?

(I would ask someone else who has one, but he doesn't know the answers to what I am asking).

Laterz

Yes, it does NAT, and some form of firewalling. The router does port forwarding on any/all ports and can forward "everything else" to what it refers to as a DMZ.
