Can we have a C-Chip to remove all mention of Xmas from the TV, please?

Or do we just have to use semtex?

*eagerly seaches for semtex recipe on net*
Honestly, its not just TV. Shops have started playing carols already.
May have to hibernate until Jan 6th. Unless anyone has a solution.

if you can come up with such a thing, you're welcome to half my kindgom/my first-born.

First sighting in shops this year was pre-halloween. *ugh*

I hate the pre-xmas thing. I wish I was back in romania again where they don't even think about Xmas till St Nick's day (6th Dec iirc) has passed. Makes for a single month of annoyingness not 4 months.

First dodgy Xmas merchandise seen 1st Sept this year! grrr.

Am avoiding shops till Jan and hoping my last 2 pairs of jeans don't disintegrate before then, shopping is evil at best of times, for 5 months of the year its pure hell.

Fneh and bah humbug

I *need* to buy clothes now - with this modern thing of getting new lines in stores every 6 weeks or so, the black clothes and other nice colours are kept out of my reach except for the very depths of winter!

(ie now - of course as soon as it gets to Jan/Feb and really cold they'll only sell spring clothes in horrible pastel colours)

I hate buyers and marketeers and all their ilk who just want people to spend money for the sake of it. [grump]

I forgot about that. Bloody pastel shades and brown! Yick, I NEVER wear brown for a very good reason, I stick ot black grey and very occasionally red if I wish to prove I'm not goth really :)

Might have to go to MeadowHell which is the only sane place to shop here in Sheffield, the town centre shops have pathetic stock control, catering for the lowest common denominator and mainstream. Everything in my size is girlie crap, and everything in kim's size is a funny shape.

fneh fneh and thrice fneh. Good luck with your shopping hell. Apart from uni I'm hibernating its less scary that way.

I knew there was a reason I hardly watched telly.

The dept store I walk past to get to work each day had their crimbo decs up on the 20th October. Apparently they don't have to have the tacky songs until December, though.

And what's with hot cross buns being on sale all year round???

oof, remember a friend working in virgin records over xmas last year, forced to listen to 'the best xmas album in the world, ever' on repeat, eight hours a day.

Poor sod.

I stopped watching TV about three years ago. Can't say that I miss it :)
