Failing to code Apr. 1st, 2004 09:43 pm
It's increasingly annoying me that I'm not getting any of my own coding done; I've managed to do something I consider bloody clever in the RN recode, but that doesn't seem to be widely appreciated.

The problem is that I no longer have a decent development system at home; my laptop is currently in for repair (and John Lewis are failing to return calls about it, having had it for 6 weeks) and the aesthetics (can't recall the right word) of my desk at home are abhorent; there are two computers on a desk designed for one, and the monitors are far too high for comfortable use. A desk rebuild would be required, and that's just a bloody pain. Besides which, my computer there is only supposed to be a server.

In any case, I far prefer to work while sitting on the sofa and watching TV - after all, I'm working to my own pace.

Anyhow, enough whinging - I'm only writing this in pure self-indulgence.
Looking forward to seeing some of you tomorrow and Saturday

I think it's the dynamics (or possibly ergonomics) of the desk arrangement that are at issue.

Are you going to be in at any point tonight for me to pick up the liquid latex?

Erm, I think Karen will be; Karen - it's in the Chinese chest of drawers, I *think*, probably top right - or it could be down the side of the gray set.

(You can tell I remembered this can't you?)

I'll be in all today and this evening, as I am full of flu. Will dig it out for you.

Thanks. Will pop round early this evening and collect it. Very sorry to hear about the 'flu, and hope you're better by tomorrow.
