Law an ass; film at 11 Apr. 30th, 2004 12:41 pm
Law passed to outlaw all forms of physical contact, but won't be used, except when it will.

This is just the latest and most blatant "everything's illegal when we say so" law to make a complete mockery of the whole concept of laws and legal process.

We have passed the event horizon of state omnipotence.

Shouldn't that mean impotence as they ain't gonna enforce a lot of it...

Same as in the case of video piracy... or home taping... or reckless driving (this is mainly due to a lack of traffic police thanks to budget cuts)...

Bloody catch all laws... just like that entertainments bill which now has the no in a bar rule regarding musicians...

One size does not fit all!

indeed.
Even though i'm in a good mood today, i've just accepted the fact that the world is FUBAR.
There's no point trying to stand up for anything or getting anything done - so i guess i'm just gonna try and help people closest to me and try to be happy.

That's the way to do it. Even though thanx to the Media (and despite their protestations it is quite true) society as a whole has become morally screwed up, your family and friends are what really counts...

Pretty much anything is already illegal if anyone could possibly object to it - "Conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace". Depending on discretion and reasonable interpretation is a long way from new as far as UK law goes.
