I seem to be writing a windows (well, multiplatform) LJ client.

Anyone got any feature requests?

(one feature it *will* have is autosaving to disk)

Offline composition of course... tab completion of friends names? Context-sensitive help on LJ specific tags? Or is it hard to wire stuff like that into your editor widget? What widget set are you using?

Well, as I'm sure any marketing drone will tell you, the two most important features should be that it is bug-free and crash-proof ;o)

Being able to choose icon/avatar.
Syntax highlighting for XML/(X)HTML tags.
Post preview (obviously without journal styling).
Retrospective post editing.

Is being able to make all of my previously public posts friends-only &c#amp;c, ie bulk attribute changing of past posts a possibility? Do you know of a utility (GUI or otherwise) that does this?

Posting in multiple communities and/or my own.

I now do this by cut and paste, and changing the target LJ, but that's more like a workaround than a real solution

A meta-psychic link, where you plug a USB cable directly into your brain and all your latest anecdotes and recent events are instantly uploaded to LJ. If I could read and post comments on my friends journal in the same instant that would also be most helpful.
