Today, my life is mainly stretching itself to bizarre extremes...

Oh, and "Britain's first erotic department store" appears to be within days of opening on the corner.

In a good way, or a bad way?

Yes, I think so.

Cryptic today, aren't we?

Can we make plans for the weekend this evening please?

No, just confused & overloaded.

Weekend - of course - anything you want to do particularly? As yet I've had no responses for any plans.

fluffymark was mentioning something about goth boating and picnicing at Hollow Ponds.

jhaelan is having a weekend-long birthday party which we could attend some of. You remember him, he organised the Hyde Park picnic.

katyha was talking about a charity/vintage shopping trip for those going to the murder mystery, which I'm sure you'd be welcome along for.

redcountess has noted that it's Open House weekend and is planning to go and look around some historical buildings.

That's all the plans I'm aware of at present. Probably not worth doing the PL on Friday as most of the regulars are in Amsterdam!

Oh, certainly! Probably around Sloane Square/Victoria.

Some of us are going to the Thames Festival on Sunday, too, if you're interested.

Presumably this would be a department store selling things which are erotic as opposed to an ordinary department store which is, in some abstruse way, sensual?

"Ooh, look, it's a tactile branch of Debenhams entirely built from rubber and leather."

One is drawn to wonder what the different departments are though.

Ground floor: erotic goods.
First floor: kinky goods.
Second floor: perverted goods.

Management reserves access to the third floor for selected customers only.

As far as I can see it's just another branch of Harmony, and if the floor plan is similar to the one down the road it goes:

Ground Floor: Joke gifts and tat bought for hen-nights, stag parties and by 'wacky' students. Fake boobs, inflatable sheep, fluffy handcuffs. Some softcare 'erotic novels' and magazines. Few basic vibrators. Nothing that would scare the tourists.
1st Floor: Medium to hardcore magazines, books, videos and DVDs. Mostly frequented by slightly shifty-looking men who wouldn't be seen dead going into a real sex shop but who are somewhat reassured by this sanitised high-street experience.
2nd Floor: Leather, rubber and PVC, corsets, lingerie, sex toys. Some nice stuff, mostly hugely overpriced.
