I appear to have flu. Just what I needed when I wanted to rework my CV and start processing job specs :/

Aaaw! Well at least you dont have to worry about taking time off work : ) If I may give you some advice - flu after big life changes should be taken seriously in my experience. Take very good care of yourself rather than butching it out.

I'm not sure I'd know *how* to "butch anything out" ;)

Normally, I get fairly irritated when I'm ill on my own time, but in this case I really do have quite a lot of spare time - one day lost really doesn't matter, and I'll invariably get a few things done anyway without exertation.

Also feeling rather less groggy than when I first made the post, but then these things always go in waves.

Poor baby! Anything you want me to bring in?

Start taking extra vitamin B and C, and zinc, now. I don't imagine you want a repeat of the last time you had the flu!

Oh gods, was that the PVS? That was REALLY annoying.

Not sure I've got any vitC - can you get me some powder and those fizzy orange tablets? And I suspect we're a bit low on milk.

No trouble with your delayed arrival, I hope?

I think there's some fizzy orange tablets on the second shelf by the crockery cupboard in the kitchen. If not there look on the condiments shelf. But yes, I'll get you some more.

What d'you mean powder? beechams/lemsip? Look in the first kitchen drawer - there's loads.

I think I just used the last of the fizzies - and I mean VitC powder.

OK, I'll get some powder if I can find it. The health food shop on Spitalfields Market should have it. If you want anything else from there, beep me in the next half an hour.

Might be worth getting some echinacea tablets while you're there.

Get well dude. Being ill in your own time is a bugger - but at least on gardening leave, you're being paid to be ill ... [grin]

Catnip tea is good at reducing cold and flu symptoms. Really. If you can find some that doesn't have chemical gunk added to it, it may help.
