I'm reminded of the line from Spider-Man 2 - "Intelligence is a gift - not a privilege."
Did like the one about the doubled discount. If they'd picked up 10 cases, would they have got the beer for free? On second thoughtd, the sales assistant would then have realised that there was no amount to charge, therefore s/he couldn't sell the goods, and so would have thrown them away!
