They do tend to get everywhere with some determination...

I find them all over my car...

Windscreens, engine bays, roofs, alsorts... Only problem with ones in the engine bay is they end up getting cooked :-S

I think they're slugs (I don't think snails could fit under the doors). Put some salt across the doorstep. We seem to have proved that that SlugStoppa tape doesn't work.

sorry i'm just like visting from my friend's friends list but seroiusly don't put salt down unless you can cope with clearing away squechy decomposeing zombie-slug ooze. It's really, really yucky.

Well, they come in under the back door as far as we can tell, so if we salt the back step outside that should stop them getting in, and if they get gunky they'll get washed away when it rains.

well, like, i hope it works but i'm thinking you might end up with your back door stuck closed with decomposing slug gunk, which would be not good.

You can put a small/shallow dish of beer out for them - they'll ooze their way into it and then die. It's a nasty mess to clean up, though...
