Central line shutdown around Leytonstone this weekend (Bethnal Green & eastwards). http://tube.tfl.gov.uk/content/pressreleases/0411/01.asp Means Karen and I won't be out on Friday, but we'll still get out on the weekend, damnit ;) Collected Miscellany: Not being political, honest: http://www.cafepress.com/treeoctopus.12611942 (I had to, it was making me giggle) Firefox for "chavs": http://www.livejournal.com/users/spreadfirefox/22911.html The hell? http://www.cnn.com/2004/TECH/11/02/political.brain.scans.ap/index.html | ||
That last link is really bizarre - if Republicans were less bothered by 9/11 than Democrats, yesterday's results would make even less sense than they do already. Maybe the Democrats appeared more bothered because they found it to be a more complex issue than Republicans did, or something?
The "chavs" link confirms me in my initial suspicion that I probably want to steer clear of anyone who uses that expression with a straight face.

I read that part of the last link as 'republicans were alarmed at the way Bush is using terrorism to justify his actions'. That's quite probably indicative of bias in my reading rather than in the writing though.
Your TFL link implies Leystonstone -> Z1 and back *will* be possible Friday evening, just not at the weekend.
You have no excuse now.
You have no excuse now.
No excuse for what?
Having to complete the journey by 22:40's the bugger on Friday. We've made other plans for Friday too, although they may be flexible if people really want to see us.

Central line services will be suspended between Leytonstone and Woodford on Friday 5 November from approximately 2240.
And you'd be going from Z1 to Leytonstone, right? So you'd still be able to get back after 2240?
