Anyone got any recommendations for laptop insurance? I suspect the pb's going to get a fair bit of travel.

A's is a named item on the house insurance, so it's covered when he takes it places. Mine moves round the house, but rarely goes out, so is just part of contents.

Provider is MoreThan, which has been ok, except they pay you in Dixons/PC world vouchers for electrical equipment if those places stock the item. They paid cash for the Sun box though *grin*

We bought Macs, so at least the price controls meant we weren't ripped off for buying in PC World.

My first thought on reading that was that it was missing an H.

Mine is on the house contents insurance, but as an alternative, I know Dell do a range of policies for their products, but I also know that the policies are with a major insurance company, so in theory, at least, there shouldn't be a problem to purchase a policy for your PB. Might be worth giving them a call.
Don't Apple do anything?

In my experience the most I've had to do is notify my contents insurer that I have a named item worth over £1000, and give them the make and model of it, for it to be covered both in and out of the house. About half the time they didn't even require that.
