David Beckham is the person most children want to grow up like. He beat Sir Cliff Richard into second spot.|
1 David Beckham; 2 Sir Cliff Richard; 3 The Beatles; 4 Ryan Giggs; 5 Britney Spears; 6 Rolf Harris; 7 Lester Piggott; 8 Gareth Gates; 9 Neil Armstrong; 10 Sir Richard Branson.
I'm trying to imagine the kids who sit at home and want to be Lester Piggott. I assume the Rolf Harris is a general "I want to work with sick animals" thing, rather than "I want to be an Australian cartoonist with moderate singing skills"...
I'm *amazed* at Cliff Richard. Bizarre.
No kids want to grow up to be like their parents?
I guess that makes sense, but it's sad that it does. It would always have been my answer. ~shrug~ Better than Cliff Richard, anyway.
Kids wanting to be like Rolf sounds good to me... loves cats, kind to animals, is genuinely interested in and friendly and lovely with fans. Not the most trendy bloke around but a nice guy.
If they'd given me the option of growing up to be Britney Spears, I'd probably have taken it. Just imagine, my brain in her body!
I don't think the world's ready for that.
I've come over all Britney Spears. Oh god, what a thought...
But suppose you had *her* brains and ... never mind...
Actually, I'd love to have her body myself. Someone would have to kill her first, of course, but think of the plastination possibilities!
*rubs chin thoughtfully*
And if we also employed animatronics, or the Jim Henson Creature Shop........;o)
It doesn't quite ring true that today's 11 year olds could even name Lester Piggott and Cliff Richard. Something is wrong.
Or the Beatles. Probably multiple choice:
"Cool, we can be beetles!"
i'm a little worried that there was only 1 girl. either they asked a ridiculously twisted sample, or there's going to be a lot of ftm sex changes in a few years' time...
