Feedback relaxation... I could do with that sometimes:

Oh gods... please don't let them do this:

I dunno about replacing the stars flag (as a former euro-brat, I have a soft spot for it) but I like the stretched flag image - it's nothing like any other logo I've seen.

Personally I think that the new flag one of the most revolting attempts at absurdist PC fluffy hyper-inclusionism that I've ever seen (not that I've seen many). Personallt I think that any new EU flag should be simple, such that we actually have a hope of drawing it from memory, and look nothing whatsoever like the stars and stripes.

Who could ever get patriotic (or whatever the term is) for something it'd take you years to learn the sequence of, let alone the relative widths of the bands?

Someone please tell me it's a hoax?

Why should we want to feel patriotic about the EU?

BTW, I don't think this should be the flag - I just really like the picture - I'm not sure why, but I do - it's almost bridget riley like.

Ok, I know patriotic was the wrong word, but the whole idea of a flag is that it's a rallying banner, to stir pride and emotion. All that that psychedelic test pattern is stirring is a mutiny in my breakfast.

i like it. in a twisted kind of way. i have a feeling its not meant to be a joke, but it really should be. actually, most designers really should be joking...

What a stupid idea. How's it going to look in black and white?

Me and Simon saw that on telly last night (flag thing)and it jolted out of our combined lounging around-ness with a big 'NO'! One of my first thoughts though (speaking as ex nursery teacher) was that no self respecting 3-5 year old is going to want to colour that in!

Hmmm, competitive relaxation. I could really do with a program like that, sounds very helpful. The flag... that looks like something I'd like to see at the Tate Modern, or on a white wall, but not as a flag.

perhaps, instead of putting all the colours in, they could average them out, like that 'colour of the universe' thing that was being bandied about earlier this year (are we blue, or beige now? I forget).
You never know, we might come out a lovely rich purple.

The universe is beige. I suspect the average colour of the flags may be brown. Yuck.

It's very cubist, isn't it?

The downside (OK, one of the many downsides) is that effectively it's dazzle-painted. From a distance, you won't be able to make out that it has any detail on it.
