Meh once more. Jun. 24th, 2005 11:05 am
I think I've hit that age where birthdays just mean you've got older - although it could be the heat; I'm vaguely disappointed that the storms initially forecast for today have vanished. I *really* hope that its still going to cool down tomorrow.

Need to tidy this place up for guests tonight and party tomorrow, then write a bunch of docs for work. I have motivation for none of this :/

Spare a thought for my Mum - she hits the big 5-0 this year.
Six months after that, I hit the medium-sized 3-0
Have a very happy Friday!

I had a shitty journey into work (Central line completely screwed, had to switch to District Line at Mile End than H'smith and City from Aldgate East), got groped by a weirdo, got into work 30 minutes late when I'd left the house on target to be five minutes early, found I didn't know where the meeting I was meant to be at was and nor did anyone else remaining in the office, blew my top at Stupid Co-Worker for making unhelpful suggestions like 'sit down for a minute' and 'I know where it is... no, I don't, it's erm... um... give me a sec' when I was already late, made it to meeting, had cold coffee, wasn't hungry for lunch and the fish was full of bones anyway, had to apologise to co-worker for aforementioned top blowing (ungraciously accepted with lots of 'well, yes, but you shouldn't...' and 'you always...' conflict escalation), led a session on worst-case scenarios (ironically) with a big throbbing zit on my face, and came back to emails from doctors about lost application forms and certificates which is my responsibility at least if not in any way actually my fault. And it's just started to rain, which means I'll get soaked coming home.

You'll forgive me if I'm not full of birthday joy and bounce when I get home, won't you?

*sigh*

I'll say one thing about stupid coworker ... she does sound like she's not TRYING to piss you off.

Big hugs on your craptastic day, and if you point out groper I promise I will kick him into the dirt for you.

And a public Happy Birthdaying to you, wechsler, go forth and natalate!
