WEST AFRICA - URGENT FOOD CRISIS In West Africa four million people are facing starvation. Drought and locusts have wrecked their chances of growing enough food for themselves or their livestock. In Niger alone, more than three million people are starving – 800,000 of them are children. The situation is desperate.
