Eh? Eating it? Your new balls, or the flying whales?

Like, moth-holes, or mouse-like nibbles?

Distinctly rodenty. Something has chewed a small hole in on of them to reveal the seeds inside, then been methodically shelling the seeds and eating the kernels.

I've put a rodent repeller back in place.

OK. I'll check for signs of anything in the kitchen cupboards when I get home, and pick up some more tupperware boxes and storing anything they might take a fancy to. Little sods!

Ah well, plant some of them now and you'll have grown a whole new set by next spring! :)

Plant a few and grow a new set?

somebody had to say it... and whenever that happens, it's generally me.

Yes, but there are several possible candidates for that kind of thing...
Even if they don't grow into new juggling balls, they ought to grow into something!

Right, normally I think having one's kit nibbled on is not such a tragedy, but ... well, where's the justice when cat is attacked by mouse?

One of the many joys of cat ownership is the fact that the rodents are dead.

One of the horrors is the occasional thoughtful gift of dead rodents. Or live frogs, obviously a good present because we played with it for hours. Lenny looked very pleased with himself as we chased it around the livingroom.

I could cope with the live frogs. It was the dead ones, underfoot, before getting dressed that upset me...
