Seems like there's still pretty significant potential for brain damage. The article mentions the brain being able to survive 90-120 minutes, but says nothing else about the recovery there.

Just short term suspended animation... Not good enough for space travel or era jumping, but good enough to help out a lot of surgery situations though. :)
