thecesspit, barking_watcher - can you both help out on Saturday? (and have you met yet?)
d_floorlandmine - what size / class of van was that you booked for K, and where from?

Anyone else - care to give me a hand this weekend? I'm buying dinner on Saturday (probably Nandos)

Oh and we're still looking for someone for the PHP job!

The van was from Enterprise and it was their 'medium van' I believe. Vauxhall Vivaro.

WSS. Vauxhall Vivaro/Renault Master. Standard wheelbase, low roof. With some of your furniture, you might be wanting a semi-high or high roof. And possibly a longer wheelbase.

The furniture is all either dismantled or being disposed of (unless you've got space in storage for a wardrobe and a drawer unit?)

Hmmm. I might have. How big are they again?
They're the Chinese style ones, aren't they? How deep are the drawers in the drawer unit?

Units are:
Wardrobe:
54cm D
178cm H
140cm W

Drawer unit:
40cm D
108cm H
120cm W

Not sure if it makes financial sense to store them though - how much would it cost?

Actually K's wardrobe was wider than that, wasn't it? Mine will fit fine in that van.

[grin] Actually, was thinking of being cheeky and offering to take them off your hands ...
Are they the Chinese-style ones from your room? Wondering whether the drawer unit would make an additional CD storage option for my living room, replacing the one I currently have by the window, depending on how deep the drawers are. The wardrobe's nice, but wouldn't really go with my design plans for the bedroom.
As for storage, there's probably room for them, but might not be the simplest financial option.

If you want them you're welcome to them, although I may reclaim them a couple of years down the line.

I and my tape-measure will have a think about them this evening, if that's OK?

That's fine - let me know tomorrow if poss.

No problem.

Am probably committed to lolliepopp's move. When would you be looking to start? If she has enough people, I can catch the tube for another stop and help move Stuff.

We're looking for a developer ourselves now - mainly front end, with lots of Ajax-y goodness.

Sure, what needs doing and what time do you want to start?

One or two vanloads of stuff to move from Leytonstone to Brixton, to start as soon as we can get hold of a van.

OK, do you want me to drive or just lift boxes? I'll be expecting to start around 9am.

Never met. Can still help, but have to go via Old Street at some point to grab some fancy dress, and have to be at a party at some point in Bethnal Green (8pm I think).

If so may need to borrow shower and change at some point on the help, but yes, can still do stuff.

Where and when?

I can offer some assistance, and drive a van if no-one else wants to do it. What time were you planning?
From: wechsler
Date: March 13th, 2006 - 08:41 pm (Link)
Just depends on the van, but I'd aim for about 11am
From: silenttex

I think that's do-able.
