More bike "fun" - Grin with cat attached

Found that the bike had a puncture when I came to leave work tonight, and more annoyingly that the bike shop had replaced my QR skewers with a nut-and-bolt axle on the rear wheel, so I couldn't get the bloody wheel off to fix it (as I don't carry tools for parts I don't know my bike has!) Tried to pump it up enough to get to the bike shop but it immediately went flat again, so I ended up walking the length of Kensington High Street with the bike over my shoulder. It's left marks... |
Anyhow, I explained my displeasure (possibly not altogether politely) to the bloke in the bike shop, and he said he'd just been trying to save me money. I replied I'd rather replace and repair like with like on the bike, and so he's agreed to order in the requisite parts. After all this we replaced the tyre in seconds flat (as it were) and I finally managed to head home.
Traffic sucked, as ever. Far too many one-occupant tractors in K&C, in particular.
Apart from which, a reasonable day at work; managed to finish the auto-emailer code and get some more work done on the test/checkin automation systems.
Still very keenly looking for a good PHP developer, please do pass the word! This really is an extremely interesting and enjoyable, if challenging, place to work!
