Quick query - if you open a supposedly fresh jar of olives and the water *fizzes*, what approach would you take to the contents?
I always follow the "when in doubt, don't" philosophy with regards to food. Between my allergies and having been food poisoned (once, one time too many) I'm not willing to take too many chances. :)
