is an underpowered vehicle for Alan Cumming to camp it the hell up in some elaborate revenge fantasy disguised as theatre. Most akin to that point when you're watching a scene and come to the uncomfortable realisation that this is Not Your Kink.
Tragic, but not in the way intended.

Bah! A pity as he was extraordinarily good as Mack the Knife in The Threepenny Opera over Here™.

I really wanted to see the Cumming Bacchae - it's one of my favorite plays - but knew that I wouldn't. If it's rubbish I'm not sure if I should feel relieved or disappointed.
